Saudi Arabia deports 12,635 illegal residents in a week

According to the Saudi Ministry of Interior, security authorities arrested 14,782 individuals for violating residency, border security, and labor laws during a one-week period from September 10 to 16. The operation, conducted through joint inspections by security forces and relevant government agencies, resulted in the processing of thousands of cases for deportation and legal review.

Of those apprehended, 7,438 were identified as violators of the Residency Law, 3,782 as violators of the Border Security Law, and 3,562 as violators of the Labor Law. The Ministry confirmed that 12,635 individuals have already been deported. Additionally, 18,986 violators have been referred to their respective diplomatic missions to secure necessary travel documentation, while 3,834 are currently awaiting travel arrangements.

The report also highlighted ongoing efforts to secure the Kingdom's borders, noting that 1,450 people were arrested while attempting to enter Saudi Arabia illegally. Demographic data from these border apprehensions indicates that 43 percent of those attempting entry were Yemeni nationals, while 56 percent were Ethiopian nationals. These enforcement actions are part of a broader, sustained campaign by the Saudi government to regulate the labor market and ensure compliance with national residency and immigration statutes.
