Saudi Arabia receives conjoined Fijian twins for possible separation surgery

According to the Saudi Gazette, conjoined twins Jesibel and Desisia have arrived in Riyadh from Fiji to undergo medical evaluation for a potential separation surgery. The twins were transported to the King Abdullah Specialist Children's Hospital under the Ministry of National Guard Health Affairs following directives from the Saudi leadership, including King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.

A specialized medical team is currently assessing the twins' condition to determine if a surgical separation is feasible. Dr. Abdullah Al Rabeeah, who serves as the supervisor general of the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) and leads the Saudi Conjoined Twins Program, stated that the initiative underscores the Kingdom's ongoing commitment to providing humanitarian medical assistance to individuals in need, regardless of their nationality or background.
