Saudi Arabia’s digital experience maturity rises to 87%, Absher tops platform rankings

According to the Saudi Gazette, the Saudi Digital Government Authority (DGA) has announced that the nation’s 2026 Digital Experience Maturity Index has reached a score of 87.06 percent. This achievement marks an 'Advanced' level of maturity for the Kingdom's digital infrastructure, following a comprehensive evaluation of 59 government platforms. The assessment process saw significant public engagement, with over 805,500 participants contributing to the 'Rate Your Digital Experience' survey, more than doubling the participation rate from the previous year.

The index evaluates government services across four primary perspectives, encompassing 20 distinct areas such as user experience, complaint resolution, beneficiary satisfaction, and the integration of modern digital tools. The DGA noted that the scope of the assessment has expanded, growing from 50 platforms in 2025 to 59 in 2026, reflecting a broader effort to digitize public sector interactions. Among the platforms evaluated, the Absher application, which serves as the primary portal for Saudi citizens and residents to access government services, topped the rankings.

In addition to the primary index, the report highlighted a Digital Inclusivity sub-index, which scored 76.98 percent, earning an 'Empowered' classification. This sub-index measures the accessibility and reach of digital services to various segments of the population. The DGA stated that these metrics are essential for the continuous improvement of government services, ensuring that digital transformation efforts remain aligned with the needs of the public and the broader goals of Saudi Vision 2030.
