📎 2 reports · 1 language

According to the Saudi Gazette, the Kingdom's business sector experienced significant expansion during the first half of 2026, with 46,900 new companies established. This growth is attributed to ongoing government initiatives aimed at streamlining commercial procedures and enhancing the overall business environment for both domestic and international investors.

The Saudi Competitiveness and Business Center reported that it facilitated over 2.9 million services for business establishments during this six-month period. Beyond the registration of new companies, these services included the formal registration of 86,800 establishments and the verification of 3,500 online stores, signaling a broader push toward digital integration and formalization within the Saudi economy.

To support this surge in commercial activity, the Center has expanded its physical presence across the Kingdom. The network now encompasses 21 branches across 16 cities, with recent additions in Makkah and Arar. Officials state that this infrastructure expansion is part of a long-term commitment to decentralize government services and provide more accessible support to entrepreneurs and business owners throughout the country.
