Saudi citizen arrested for transporting six violators in Jazan region

According to the Saudi Gazette, patrols from the General Administration of Mujahideen in the Jazan region have arrested a Saudi citizen for the illegal transport of six Yemeni nationals. The individuals were reportedly in violation of the Kingdom's border security laws at the time of their apprehension. The Saudi citizen has been referred to the Public Prosecution, while the six foreign nationals have been handed over to the competent authorities for further legal processing.

The General Administration of Mujahideen has issued a stern reminder regarding the legal consequences of assisting border security violators. Under current Saudi regulations, facilitating the entry, transport, or sheltering of individuals who have bypassed border controls is classified as a major offense. Penalties for such actions can include up to 15 years in prison, fines reaching SR1 million, the confiscation of the vehicle used in the commission of the crime, and public naming of the offenders.

Authorities continue to urge the public to remain vigilant and report any suspected violations of residency, labor, or border security regulations. Residents in the Makkah, Madinah, Riyadh, and Eastern Province regions are encouraged to contact 911 to report such activities. These measures are part of a broader, ongoing effort by the Saudi government to maintain strict control over its borders and enforce national residency laws.
