SCE and AGU Partner to Strengthen Water Resources Planning in Bahrain

The Supreme Council for Environment (SCE) in Bahrain has officially launched a new training initiative aimed at enhancing the nation's water resource management capabilities. The program, titled 'Integrated Water Resources Planning and Management,' is being conducted in collaboration with the Permanent Technical Advisory Committee of the Water Resources Council and the Arabian Gulf University (AGU).

According to Bahrain This Week, this training series is a key component of a broader project designed to strengthen the institutional capacity of the Water Resources Council. By partnering with academic institutions like AGU, the SCE seeks to integrate scientific research and technical expertise into the kingdom's long-term environmental and water planning strategies.

Water security remains a critical priority for the Gulf region, where arid climates and high demand necessitate sophisticated management frameworks. This initiative is expected to provide government officials and technical staff with the tools required to better monitor, allocate, and preserve Bahrain's water resources in line with national sustainability goals.
