According to a report by Vijayavani, the Vishwakarma community's contributions to Indian culture and heritage were highlighted during the 4th annual talent award ceremony held at the Ambedkar Bhavan in H.D. Kote, Karnataka. The event was organized by the H.D. Kote and Sargur Taluk Vishwakarma Youth Brigade.

Srikantachar, Director of the Multimedia Research Center at the University of Mysore, served as the keynote speaker. During his address, he emphasized the historical significance of the Vishwakarma community, noting their foundational role in architecture, sculpture, and temple construction. He stated that the community's craftsmanship predates modern written records, with artisans having dedicated their lives to spreading cultural values through intricate stone carvings.

Srikantachar further remarked that many ancient temples contain advanced scientific principles, including the study of light refraction, which were masterfully applied by Vishwakarma sculptors centuries ago. He argued that the structural integrity and artistic detail of these ancient monuments remain superior to many modern technological achievements, serving as a testament to the community's enduring legacy in Indian history.
