stc group turns the Red Sea into a live 3D destination at LEAP 2026

According to the Saudi Gazette, stc group and Red Sea Global are collaborating to present an advanced intelligent operation management system at the LEAP 2026 conference, scheduled for August 31 to September 3 at the Riyadh International Convention & Exhibition Center. The initiative focuses on creating a comprehensive 'Digital Twin' of key Red Sea destinations, specifically Shura Island and Turtle Bay.

Developed by iot squared, an stc group subsidiary, the system provides high-resolution, real-time monitoring across 10 square kilometres. By integrating satellite imagery and 3D modelling with live data feeds from sensors and operational infrastructure, the platform aims to enhance both the efficiency of destination management and the overall visitor experience. The technology reflects real-time changes in the physical environment, including data related to buildings, vehicles, and environmental conditions.

This project highlights the growing integration of smart city technologies within Saudi Arabia’s tourism and infrastructure sectors. By utilizing a digital replica of physical sites, operators can simulate scenarios, track assets, and optimize resource allocation. The showcase at LEAP 2026 serves as a demonstration of how digital transformation can be applied to large-scale tourism developments to support sustainable and intelligent operations.
