Thunderstorms forecast across parts of Kingdom as temperatures reach 47°C

According to the Saudi Gazette, the National Center for Meteorology (NCM) has issued a weather forecast for Tuesday, warning of extreme temperatures and potential thunderstorms across various regions of the Kingdom. Residents in several major cities are bracing for intense heat, with Dammam expected to reach a high of 47°C. Other major urban centers are also seeing significant temperature spikes, with Riyadh forecast at 46°C, Buraidah at 47°C, and Madinah at 45°C. Makkah and Jeddah are expected to see highs of 44°C and 42°C, respectively.

In addition to the heatwave, the NCM has alerted the public to the possibility of thunderclouds accompanied by rain in parts of Jazan, Asir, Najran, Riyadh, and the Eastern Province. These weather patterns are expected to be accompanied by active winds that may stir up dust and sand, potentially impacting visibility in those areas. Similar conditions are anticipated across parts of the Northern Borders Region, where hot to extremely hot weather is expected to persist.
