TMC दफ्तर में सुबह 4:30 बजे तोड़फोड़ का आरोप:अभिषेक बोले- BJP के लोग हथियारों के साथ घुसे; निगम ने इसी ऑफिस से साइनबोर्ड हटाया था

According to a report by Dainik Bhaskar, Trinamool Congress (TMC) Member of Parliament Abhishek Banerjee has alleged that his party's office on Cam St in Kolkata was targeted in a violent attack early Thursday morning. Banerjee claims that a group of individuals linked to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) entered the premises around 4:30 AM, allegedly armed with weapons. He stated that the intruders assaulted staff members, confiscated mobile phones, and caused significant damage to office furniture and electronic equipment.

Banerjee, who shared video footage of the aftermath on social media, further alleged that despite immediate notifications made by TMC staff and legal representatives to local law enforcement, police failed to intervene for approximately two hours. He has publicly demanded a thorough investigation into the planning of the incident and an explanation regarding the delayed police response, calling for the immediate arrest of those involved.

This incident follows a period of heightened tension regarding the office space. Recently, the Kolkata Municipal Corporation, supported by police, removed an 'All India Trinamool Congress' signboard from the same building, an action that led to the filing of First Information Reports (FIRs) against several senior TMC leaders, including Abhishek Banerjee and Derek O'Brien. Local authorities have yet to issue a formal statement regarding the specific allegations of the Thursday morning attack.

Why this score

The report is based on specific allegations made by a prominent political figure, Abhishek Banerjee, regarding an incident at his party's office. While the claims of vandalism and police inaction are currently single-sourced from the outlet reporting his statement, the context of ongoing tensions between the TMC and local authorities regarding the office premises provides a consistent background for the event.
