According to reports from Public TV, police in Chikkodi, Karnataka, have arrested a woman and her alleged lover in connection with the murder of her husband, Raghu Gavade. The incident, which took place in the village of Khadaklat, reportedly remained unsolved for six months before authorities were able to break the case.

Raghu Gavade, a 40-year-old shepherd, had been reported missing, with his wife, Bangari Gavade, initially providing a narrative that obscured the true nature of his disappearance. Following an investigation, police identified Bangari Gavade and a man named Rama Rana as the primary suspects. Investigators allege that the two had been involved in an illicit affair and conspired to kill the victim to remove him as an obstacle to their relationship.

Authorities state that after the murder, the suspects buried the victim's body in a field in an attempt to conceal the crime. The case has drawn significant local attention due to the duration of the cover-up and the nature of the alleged conspiracy. The suspects are currently in police custody as the investigation continues to finalize the evidence for judicial proceedings.
