Assam Rifles Holds Patriotic Activities at Sonari School Ahead of Independence Day

According to Pratidin Time, the Assam Rifles organized a series of patriotic activities at St. Joseph School in Sonari, located in the Charaideo district of Assam, on Friday. The event was held in anticipation of the upcoming 80th Independence Day celebrations, with the stated goal of fostering national unity and patriotism among the student body.

Approximately 780 students participated in the program, which included the distribution of national flags and a collective recitation of 'Vande Mataram'. The initiative was framed by organizers as part of a broader effort to mark 150 years of the patriotic song and to engage local youth in national observances.

The Assam Rifles, India's oldest paramilitary force, frequently conducts civil action programs in the northeastern states as part of its mandate to maintain security and build rapport with local communities.
