Assam’s Jhumurmur Panchayat Wins National ‘Clean & Green’ Award, Secretary Lauds Collective Effort

According to Pratidin Time, the Jhumurmur Gaon Panchayat located in the Nagaon district of Assam has been honored with the national 'Clean & Green Panchayat' award. The recognition was granted under the Deen Dayal Upadhyay Panchayat Satat Vikas Puraskar (DDUPSVP), a central government initiative designed to incentivize sustainable development and sanitation improvements at the grassroots level.

The award highlights the panchayat's successful implementation of environmental protection programs and rural sanitation efforts. Local officials noted that the achievement is the result of a sustained, collective effort involving both the local administration and the residents of the Jhumurmur area to maintain cleanliness and promote ecological sustainability.
