According to a report from Dharitri, a significant catch was recorded in the Baitarani River near Kapundi village, located within the Patna police station limits of the Keonjhar district in Odisha. Local resident Tapan Kumar Mahanta was fishing in the river using a cast net when he encountered two large fish.

While one of the fish managed to escape the net and return to the water, Mahanta and his associates were able to secure the second specimen. The report identifies the catch as a large fish weighing approximately 220 kilograms.
