According to Asomiya Pratidin, the Rupkonwar Moina Parijat in Bekajan, Assam, successfully concluded a 16-day summer workshop focused on indigenous creative dance, solo acting, and mime. The event, held during the summer break, culminated in a two-day cultural program to showcase the participants' achievements.

The first day of the cultural festivities began with a flag-hoisting ceremony led by the president of the Rupkonwar Moina Parijat, Bipul Das. The evening session featured a ceremonial lamp-lighting, performed by Abhijit Payeng, headmaster of the Border Tribal Middle English School, alongside retired educators Pravin Das and Satya Narayan Yadav.

The cultural evening was formally inaugurated by Bipul Kachari, a member of the Thengal Kachari Autonomous Council. Other notable guests in attendance included Biren Kalita, secretary of the All Assam Moina Parijat, as well as Dilip Kumar Khaund, principal of Borholla College, and guests Buddhindra Nath Borchetia and Babul Kalita. The event was moderated by youth social worker Chhatrajit Yadav. Such workshops are a regular feature of local community engagement in the region, aimed at preserving and promoting traditional arts among the youth.
