ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು: ಫ್ರೀಡಂ ಪಾರ್ಕ್ ನಲ್ಲಿ ಯುವ ಮೋರ್ಚಾದಿಂದ ಪ್ರತಿಭಟನೆ

According to a report by Vartha Bharati, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Yuva Morcha held a protest at Freedom Park in Bengaluru to demand the resignation of officials linked to the Maharshi Valmiki Development Corporation scandal. The demonstration was led by Jagadish R. Chandra, the Bengaluru Central District President of the BJP Yuva Morcha.

During the protest, speakers criticized the state government and Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar, alleging that the administration has failed to address the ongoing scandal effectively. The BJP leaders argued that allowing individuals previously associated with the controversy to remain in positions of power is unacceptable. They further warned that if their demands for accountability are not met, the party would escalate its agitation under the leadership of state president B.Y. Vijayendra and state Yuva Morcha president Dheeraj Muniraju.

In addition to the corruption allegations, the protesters criticized the Congress-led state government on broader governance issues, claiming it has neglected the interests of farmers, students, and women. The speakers specifically alleged that the current cabinet lacks representation for women. The protest highlights the ongoing political friction in Karnataka as opposition parties continue to leverage the Valmiki Corporation issue to challenge the state government's performance.
