ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ವಿವಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ರಸ್ತೆ ಅಪಘಾತ – ಮೃತ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿನಿ ಕುಟುಂಬಕ್ಕೆ ಸರ್ಕಾರದಿಂದ 10 ಲಕ್ಷ ಪರಿಹಾರ

According to Public TV, the government has announced a compensation package of 10 lakh rupees for the family of a student who tragically lost her life in a road accident at the Jnanabharathi campus of Bengaluru University. The student was reportedly struck by an auto-rickshaw while attempting to cross the road within the university premises.

The compensation package is comprised of two distinct parts: 3 lakh rupees provided from the Chief Minister's Relief Fund, and an additional 7 lakh rupees allocated by Bengaluru University to cover expenses related to the incident. This financial assistance is intended to support the bereaved family during this difficult period.

Road safety within large educational campuses has become a point of concern for local authorities and student bodies. Following this incident, there have been renewed calls for stricter traffic management and safety measures to be implemented within the Jnanabharathi campus to prevent further accidents. The university administration is expected to review its current vehicle access policies in light of the tragedy.
