According to Asomiya Pratidin, a teacher identified as Chandan Chettri was found dead in Dhekiajuli, Assam, on Thursday afternoon. Chettri, who resided in Dhekiajuli village and served as a teacher at the Arun Tea Garden Adarsha Vidyalaya, had reportedly gone missing after heading out for his routine morning walk through a nearby tea garden.

Family members became concerned when Chettri failed to return home by the afternoon. His body was subsequently discovered in the nearby Dhirai River. Local residents and family members have noted visible injuries on his face and body, leading them to suspect that he was the victim of a targeted attack.
