According to Kanak News, the Cuttack Commissionerate Police are investigating the alleged involvement of a software engineer in a series of bomb threats directed at the Odisha High Court. Authorities suspect a larger conspiracy behind the threats, which were reportedly issued by an individual operating from abroad using sophisticated technological methods.

The investigation gained momentum following the arrest of a software engineer, identified as Sharat Subramaniam Shankar, by the Tamil Nadu Anti-Terrorist Squad on July 22 at Chennai Airport. Officials believe Shankar may be linked to the threats against the High Court, as well as similar threats previously issued against various government and private institutions and political figures in Tamil Nadu.

Cuttack police are currently coordinating with their counterparts in Tamil Nadu to secure evidence linking the suspect to the Odisha case. Should the connection be confirmed, local authorities plan to seek a remand to bring the suspect into their custody for further interrogation. The investigation remains ongoing as police work to determine the full extent of the suspect's activities and any potential accomplices involved in the security breach.
