According to Vartha Bharati, a cultural event titled 'Aatida Minadana' was held at the Bannanje Shivagiri Hall in Udupi, Karnataka, to celebrate the traditions of the Tulu Nadu region. The event was organized by the women members of the Sumanasa Kodavoor group as part of their silver jubilee celebrations.

Hariprasad Rai, president of the Sumanasa Silver Jubilee Committee, presided over the function and emphasized the importance of such programs in connecting the younger generation with their cultural roots. He noted that the 'Aati' month programs serve as a vital medium to educate youth about the region's social consciousness, dietary habits, and traditional values.

The event was inaugurated in a traditional manner by retired professor Dr. Sunita V. and retired principal Sukanya Martis, who offered grains and vegetables to the 'Aatikalenja', a folk character associated with the Tulu tradition. Dr. Sunita praised the initiative, stating that such cultural gatherings are essential for preserving and promoting the unique heritage of the community for future generations.
