IndiaTrek Delegation Returns from KIIT & Odisha with Sweet Memories

A delegation of 38 members from the City University of New York (CUNY) has concluded a 15-day visit to the Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT) and the Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS) in Odisha, India. The visit was facilitated through the Achyuta Samanta India Initiative CUNY Crest Institute (ASIICCI), a program designed to foster academic and cultural exchange between the two institutions.

The delegation, which included 10 professors and 28 students from various CUNY campuses, engaged in a series of interactive sessions and educational tours during their stay. According to reports from Kalinga TV, the program focused on providing the American students and faculty with firsthand exposure to the academic environment and social initiatives led by the KIIT and KISS organizations in Bhubaneswar.

Such international academic partnerships are increasingly common as universities seek to broaden the global perspective of their student bodies. By participating in these cross-cultural exchanges, students gain insights into the socio-economic landscape of the host region while faculty members explore potential avenues for collaborative research and institutional development.
