According to a report by TV9 Kannada, a 12th-grade student from Nagpur has been rescued by local authorities following an alleged kidnapping and assault. The victim, reportedly the daughter of a senior official, had been in contact with a 20-year-old suspect through social media platforms including Instagram, Snapchat, and various online gaming services.

The report states that the suspect lured the victim, subsequently holding her captive and subjecting her to physical abuse over a period of two days. Authorities were reportedly able to track and rescue the victim after the suspect made a critical error involving an online food delivery order, which allowed police to pinpoint his location.

While the investigation is ongoing, the incident has drawn attention to the risks associated with online interactions between minors and strangers on social media and gaming platforms. Local police have taken the suspect into custody, and the victim is currently receiving support.
