Jorhat Case: Accused Women Reveal Details of August 15 Night

According to reports from Pratidin Time, two women arrested in connection with the death of a young woman in Jorhat, Assam, have provided details regarding the events of August 15. The incident, which took place at a flat in Gauri Enclave, has drawn significant local attention as authorities continue their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the victim's death.

The accused women, while being produced before a local court, identified two other individuals, Aryan Goswami and Ankit Das, as being present at the flat on the night of the incident. The investigation centers on the events that transpired inside the residence, which ultimately led to the victim being rushed to a hospital following a suspected overdose.

One of the arrested women stated that her involvement was initially a result of her presence at the hospital. She claimed that because no family members or friends of the victim were immediately available to provide consent for medical procedures, she stepped in to sign as a guardian. She asserted that this action, intended to facilitate medical care, was the primary reason for her subsequent arrest by local police.

As the investigation proceeds, authorities are working to verify the accounts provided by the suspects and determine the sequence of events that occurred at the Gauri Enclave flat.
