According to Amar Ujala, authorities in Ghaziabad have implemented a comprehensive route diversion plan starting Wednesday at 8:00 AM to manage the influx of pilgrims during the annual Kanwar Yatra. The measures are designed to ensure public safety and facilitate the movement of devotees while minimizing disruption to local traffic flow.

In addition to the road diversions, the regional transit authority has announced an increase in public transport capacity to accommodate the surge in travelers. Starting tomorrow, the Namo Bharat rapid transit system will operate 52 additional trips, aiming to provide a reliable alternative for commuters navigating the city during the festival period.

Local officials have urged residents to plan their travel in advance and adhere to the designated diversions to avoid congestion. The Kanwar Yatra, which sees large numbers of pilgrims traveling through the National Capital Region, typically requires significant coordination between police and municipal departments to maintain order and ensure the safety of both participants and the general public.
