According to a report from Vijayavani, a man identified as Pradeep, a native of Kumta, was rescued after falling into a 60-foot ravine at the Kodachadri hill station. The incident reportedly occurred as the individual was approaching the Shankaracharya Peetha, a prominent site on the hill, when he suffered a dizzy spell and lost his footing.

Local tourist jeep drivers, who are familiar with the challenging terrain of the region, conducted the rescue operation after being alerted by other visitors who had notified police and forest department officials. Despite the difficulty of the location, the team successfully brought the man to safety.

Following the rescue, Pradeep was transported to a hospital in Nittur for medical attention. Reports indicate that he sustained only minor injuries during the fall. Kodachadri, located in the Western Ghats of Karnataka, is a popular destination for trekkers and pilgrims, though its steep terrain often necessitates caution for visitors.
