According to a report by Vijayavani, the Lions Campus in Gonikoppa recently hosted an induction ceremony for the new office bearers of the local Leo Club. The event was presided over by the president of the Lions Club and featured P.V. Anil Kumar, the former Lions cabinet secretary, as the chief guest. During his address, Kumar emphasized the importance of youth participation in social service, describing the Leo Club as a vital platform for fostering leadership skills and community values among students.

During the ceremony, the new leadership team was formally sworn in, with Bhuvana taking office as the club president, Khushi P.G. as the secretary, and Hitashree M.S. as the treasurer. The event also highlighted ongoing infrastructure improvements at the campus, with Lions Charitable Trust president Dhanu Uttayya noting that a modern playground is currently being constructed with support from the International Lions Club assistance fund to provide better facilities for the students.

The ceremony was attended by several local dignitaries and school officials, including Lions Club secretary K.A. Karumbayya, treasurer A.B. Madappa, Smita Anil, and the principal of the Lions Pre-University College, Latha C.B. The event underscored the organization's commitment to youth development and community engagement within the Gonikoppa region.
