According to Dharitri, the Anandpur police in Odisha, India, recently conducted a cyber awareness camp at the City and B.Ed. College in Fakirpur. The initiative is part of a broader effort by local law enforcement to educate the public, particularly students, on the rising risks of online fraud and cybercrime.

The session was led by Anandpur Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) Kamal Kumar Panda, with participation from local police officials including OIC Puja. During the event, students were cautioned against sharing sensitive information such as One-Time Passwords (OTPs) and account passwords with unknown individuals or on unverified platforms.

As cybercrime continues to evolve, local authorities in the region have been increasing their outreach programs to help citizens identify common scams. The police emphasized the importance of digital hygiene and encouraged students to report suspicious online activity immediately to prevent financial loss. This camp serves as one of several ongoing awareness programs aimed at fostering a safer digital environment for the local community.
