Passengers Alert! Several trains to remain cancelled on Ranchi–Hatia–Rourkela route; check details

According to a report by OTV, passengers traveling along the Ranchi–Hatia–Rourkela railway route are expected to face significant travel disruptions due to scheduled engineering and infrastructure development. The South Eastern Railway's Chakradharpur Division has announced that non-interlocking (NI) work is slated to take place on the Bandamunda (A-Cabin)–Rourkela section.

The infrastructure project is scheduled to run for a ten-day period, beginning on September 24 and concluding on October 3. During this window, railway authorities have indicated that several passenger and express trains operating through the Hatia, Ranchi, and Rourkela corridors will be cancelled to facilitate the necessary safety and upgrade works. Additionally, the departure schedules for certain services are subject to revision.

Railway officials have advised passengers to check the latest updates through official railway portals or station inquiry counters before planning their travel during this period. Such maintenance work is a routine part of the Indian Railways' efforts to modernize signaling systems and track infrastructure, though it frequently necessitates temporary service adjustments on high-traffic routes.
