Saudi minister, Bahrain’s deputy PM discuss strengthening tourism cooperation

According to the Saudi Gazette, Saudi Minister of Tourism Ahmed Al-Khateeb held a high-level meeting with Bahrain’s Deputy Prime Minister Sheikh Khalid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa in Manama on Thursday. The discussion took place on the sidelines of the 10th Meeting of the Ministers Responsible for Tourism in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries.

During the session, Minister Al-Khateeb expressed his appreciation for the hospitality extended by the Bahraini government. The dialogue focused on the current state of the tourism sector within the GCC, exploring strategies to foster greater integration and growth across member states. Both officials emphasized the importance of exchanging expertise to enhance the competitiveness of the Gulf region as a premier international tourism destination.

This meeting is part of ongoing efforts by GCC nations to diversify their economies and strengthen regional cooperation.
