According to Polimer News, the Hogenakkal tourist destination in Tamil Nadu saw a significant influx of visitors during the recent holiday period. Tourists gathered to enjoy the scenic beauty of the falls and the surrounding Cauvery river areas with their families.

However, the district administration of Dharmapuri has maintained a ban on coracle (parisal) boat services for the 22nd consecutive day. This restriction was implemented as a safety precaution due to the water flow in the Cauvery river, which is currently recorded at 8,500 cubic feet per second. Many tourists expressed disappointment as the high water levels prevented them from participating in the popular boat rides.

Local authorities continue to monitor the water levels closely to ensure public safety. The ban on boating will remain in effect until the river flow subsides to a level deemed safe for small craft operations. Visitors are advised to check local updates before planning trips to the area during the monsoon or high-flow seasons.
