UPI Payments : ఫోన్‌పే యూజర్లకు కంపెనీ బంపర్ ఆఫర్.. ఇక లైఫ్ లాంగ్..

According to 10TV, PhonePe CEO Sameer Nigam has clarified the company's stance on the future of UPI payments in India. Following the passage of a new tax amendment bill in the Lok Sabha, concerns had been raised regarding potential changes to the cost structure of digital transactions for end-users.

In a statement released via the social media platform X, Nigam addressed these concerns directly, assuring users that UPI payments will continue to remain free of charge. The clarification aims to dispel rumors that the legislative updates might necessitate the introduction of transaction fees for individuals using the popular payment interface.

PhonePe, one of the leading digital payment platforms in India, remains a key player in the country's UPI ecosystem. The company's commitment to maintaining free services is seen as a strategic move to ensure continued user adoption and to maintain its competitive position in the rapidly evolving Indian fintech market. As of now, there have been no official government announcements contradicting this position regarding the impact of the new tax bill on consumer-facing UPI transactions.
