According to NTV Telugu, Indian Railways has commenced experimental trials for the country's first Vande Bharat Freight EMU train. The testing is currently being conducted within the Kota division of the West Central Railway (WCR) zone as part of a broader initiative to modernize the nation's logistics and cargo infrastructure.

During the initial trial runs, the freight train reportedly achieved a maximum speed of 145 kilometers per hour. This project is designed to enhance the efficiency of parcel services, e-commerce logistics, and cold-chain transportation across the Indian rail network. By utilizing the Vande Bharat platform, the railway aims to provide a faster, more reliable alternative for time-sensitive cargo that currently relies on slower conventional freight methods.
